Okay, the past year has been rough. But we do have something good on the horizon—Easter. With reminders of new beginnings and fresh starts, Easter is the holiday when we look with hope toward the future.

We bring out pretty colors, making the world around us shine with lively pastels. Soft bunny rabbits appear, eggs get hidden, treats are found. And for many people, it is a time of celebration, as death itself is forced to take a step back. Life begins again.

Easter is also an opportunity for family and friends to get together to have fun. This year, it will be restricted. But that doesn’t mean we can’t do anything. Family traditions go on. Things like coloring Easter eggs, or reading Bible stories. Because tradition is important. So today, we have—

EASTER CRAFTS FOR KIDS

Crafts to share with kids during this special time called Easter.

 

1) Popsicle Stick Bunny

  • The Popsicle Stick Bunny is a cute Easter craft that can be done easily by your kids. The resulting craft is a cute little bunny made of colored popsicle sticks and other cute little bunny features. This craft can be displayed on your shelves or albums at home or in school.
  • This cute Easter craft can be done by kids aged 5 to 10 years old.
  • It will take around 10 to 15 minutes to finish this craft.

Supplies needed: 

  • 10 to 15 pieces of colored popsicle sticks (preferably white)
  • Purple colored paper
  • Black colored paper
  • White colored paper
  • Bunny eyes
  • Glue

Steps in making the Popsicle Stick Bunny craft:

1) Take your popsicle sticks ang glue them together to create a square-like flat formation.

2) Cut two pieces of bunny ear shapes from the white colored paper.

3) Cut two pieces of smaller bunny ear shapes from the purple paper. Glue these on the two white bunny ears.

4) Once you are done with the bunny ears, glue them on the upper back part of the popsicle.

5) Cut one circle from the purple paper and glue it on the center part of the popsicle. This will be the nose of the bunny.

6) Glue the two bunny eyes just above the nose of the bunny. 

7) Cut six long and thin black papers and glue them on the nose to form the bunny whiskers. Glue three on each side. You’re done!

2) Popsicle Stick Chick

  • The Popsicle Stick Chick is an adorable Easter craft that can be done and enjoyed by your kids. The resulting craft is a cute little chick made of colored popsicle sticks and other adorable chick features. This craft can be displayed on your shelves or albums at home or in school.
  • This cute Easter craft can be done by kids aged 6 to 10 years old.
  • It will take around 15 to 20 minutes to finish this craft.

Supplies needed

  • 10 to 15 pieces of colored popsicle sticks (preferably yellow)
  • Orange colored paper
  • Chick eyes
  • Yellow synthetic chick feather
  • Orange fuzzy wires
  • Glue gun

Steps in making the Popsicle Stick Chick craft:

1) Take your popsicle sticks ad glue them together to create a square-like flat formation.

2) Cut out a long triangle from the orange colored paper to form the beak of the chick. Glue it on the center part of the popsicle with the triangle facing downward.

3) Glue the two chick eyes just above the beak of the chick.

4) Glue the chick feather on the upper back part of the popsicle.

5) Take two orange fuzzy wires and twirl and bend them to form two chick legs.

6) Glue the legs on the lower back part of the popsicle. You’re done!

3) String Eggs

  • The String Eggs are an amazing Easter craft that will sure be enjoyed by your kids. The resulting craft are cute little string eggs made of colorful balloons and strings. This craft can be displayed on your shelves at home or in school.
  • This cute Easter craft can be done by kids aged 6 to 10 years old.
  • It will take around 20 to 25 minutes to finish this craft (without the drying time).

Supplies needed:

  • Small sized balloons
  • PVA glue and water (equal parts)
  • Colored cotton yarn (preferably purple, light blue, or pink)

Steps in making the String Eggs craft:

1) Blow air inside a small balloon to form an egg shape. 

2) Mix the glue and water in a plastic container. 

3) Cut the cotton yarn with the length of nine yards. Then dip the yarn in the glue mixture. Dip the string in an organized manner until all the nine yards have glue. Make sure not to tangle the yarn.

4) Now, take your glued yarn and wrap it around the balloon. Remove any excess glue when you are wrapping the yarn on the balloon.

5) Let the balloon dry for about one to two hours.

6) Once the glue is dry and the yarn is hardened, you can prick the balloon to pop. Remove the balloon pieces inside the string egg. 

7) You can now put small chocolates or designs inside the egg. You’re done!

4) Toilet Roll Chick

  • The Toilet Roll Chick an environment-friendly Easter craft that will surely excite your kids. The resulting craft is a chick made of toilet roll and other chick features. This craft can be displayed on your shelves at home or in school.
  • This cute Easter craft can be done by kids aged 7 to 10 years old.

Supplies needed:

  • Painted toilet roll (preferably yellow)
  • Two yellow chick feathers
  • One white chick feather
  • Orange colored paper
  • White colored paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue gun
  • Two small chick eyes

Steps in making the Toilet Roll Chick craft:

1) Take your toilet roll and glue on the two small chick eyes on the upper middle part of the toilet roll.

2) Cut out a small long triangle from the orange colored paper to form the beak of the chick. Glue it below the eyes with the triangle facing downward.

3) Glue the white chick feather on the upper inner part of the popsicle.

4) Glue the two yellow chick feathers on both sides of chick face on the back part of the toilet roll (left and right).

5) Cut out two oblong shapes from the orange colored paper and glue them on the lower part of the toilet roll to form the chick feet. You’re done!

5) Toilet Roll Bunny

  • The Toilet Roll Bunny is another environment-friendly Easter craft that will surely make your kids happy. The resulting craft is a bunny made of toilet roll and other bunny features. This craft can be displayed on your shelves at home or in school.
  • This Easter craft can be done by kids aged 7 to 10 years old.
  • It will take around 15 to 20 minutes to finish this craft.

Supplies needed:

  • Painted toilet roll (preferably white)
  • One silver fuzzy wire
  • Glue gun
  • Pentel pen
  • Two small bunny eyes
  • White colored paper
  • Purple colored paper
  • Purple Fuzzy ball

Steps in making the Toilet Roll Bunny craft:

1) Take your toilet roll and glue on the two small bunny eyes on the upper middle part of the toilet roll.

2) Cut your fuzzy wire into six small pieces then glue them below the eyes to form the bunny whiskers. Three on each side.

3) Glue the fuzzy ball on top of the whiskers.

4) Cut out two bunny ears from the purple and white colored papers and glue them together. Then glue them on the upper inner part of the toilet roll.

5) Cut out two oblong shapes from the purple colored paper and glue them on the lower inner part of the toilet roll to form the bunny legs. You’re done!
